I am going to have four implants on my lower jaw to secure my dentures.
How long does it take to heal, what should I eat during the healing
time, how uncomfortable will I feel

U must eat cold things like icescreams; yogurts; cold soaps; everything
cold.
Healing time diferent if the surgery has flap incision or if is
unflaped.
But booth tecnique are easy to healing.
It will be alright u made a good decision.

In implantology there is two ways to make implants:
The first one is, we oral surgeans do a incision in the soft tissue in
the jaw, than we put the implants in the jaw, than we make a denture
that will be suported to implants.
The second way we dont make incision, and we perfurate the soft tissue,
and than we put the implants. Microimplants are placed like this way, i
think is this what you are going to do.

Hi, I'm having 3 lower left and one lower right and one upper right.
Still have most of the rest of my teeth thank goodness.
Just wanted to say hi and I too have some anxiety about the pain and
discomfort this may cause; more so I am concerned that they are done
right and that healing takes place normally, no complications.
How much are you paying for the 4 implants if you don't mind my
asking?
I understand there is like a 3-6 month wait usually between the time I
get the implants put in and the time the crowns are added, so that the
bone has a chance to heal or grow or whatever it is, around the
implant.
Did you have to have CT scans of your jaw? I am having that done,
soon; I guess it isn't always done...
Let me know how your's go. When do you have surgery? Mine starts
probably in March.

You must remember so the denture on the impants must be done very, very
good.
Dont be focused on implants only . If your denture will be bad or dont
relaine properly. The bite forces could make problems for exemple implants
could be "overworked" and the retension parts needs exchanging often, bigger
problem breaking of implants.
If you put more implant the risk is less but if you are making to improve
retention of denture iT isnt necessery always.
The denture is very important anyway.
