Dentists should normally use calciumhydroxide. This is the theory, but
in reality most dentists use other stuff.

What do you think of the use of other medicaments? Especially Rockle's 4
and simple eugenol?

In my experience i do my endodontic treatments in 90% in one single
session.
I use Hipoclorite 5% to irrigate, and my final irrigation is with MTA-D
a new solution; and a  use rotatory files with a hibrid thecnique (
Profile; Protaper; and GT System Files).
Its very rare to use calciumhydroxide in my pratice.

Also the urgencies who you have to fit in your already filled schedule?

MTA? I guess that's not a very cheap root canal treatment. How much do
you ask for 1 to 4 canals?

I asume every temporary RCT filling is rare if you do 90% in one session ;-)

I charge for 4 canals in one single session 600 Euros, and for 1 canal
250 euros.
The MTAD that im talking if you want to see go to
http://www.dentsply.com/default.aspx?pageid=654.
The treatment of the urgencies, i do a first session and if i dont have
time to finish yes i put calciumhydroxide.Than i finish in next
session.
If you think i charge a lot; i dont think soo, there is not so
expensive like a implant, and tooth is better than an implant.

Best Regards Portugal
