Hello, I have a question.
If you thoroughly brush, floss, and rinse with fluoride only once a
day, is that enough to prevent tooth decay??? This is assuming that
sugar is consumed many times throughout the day.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to give an absolute answer to this question. Given any
set of parameters (level of oral hygiene, diet, fluoride use) some will
be far more susceptible to decay than others.
For someone with a low-to-average decay susceptibility, this may be
enough. Remember though that any plaque bacteria will generate a
significant pH decrease after eating any fermentable carbohydrate. If
your oral hygiene is truly meticulous, you likely will not build up a
large load of cariogenic bacteria in a 24 hour period, and the caries
risk will be modest; however, I can tell you that I've had many
patients who will swear up and down that they brush and floss 5 times a
day and their mouths are a mess. So in any locations that your oral
hygiene is less than meticulous, we could expect the caries risk to be
greater.
Furthemore, the teeth may have congenitally weak spots (pits and
fissures) that are both more prone to decay and also more difficult to
clean.
Ideally, you will brush and floss every time you eat. Failing this,
try at least to vigorously rinse your mouth after eating to clear as
much carbohydrate from your mouth as possible.

Just swich off your sugar, make your frq. higher. 5X is inoff.

do not eat sugar.
