A sailor is knot supposed to use a knife on the rough seas. The sailor
can end up in the ocean or dead. It is much like a child running with
a scissors after a cat that is chasing a ball of yarn.

However keeping your eyes on the horizon is wise.

So I think Webby is the wise one here.
