Hello,
I have a tooth extracted not a wisdom tooth but not sure what that
tooth would be called in a medical area. It has been 4 days today. I
have a white film covering the extraction site and a little bit of
purple brusing. I have no swelling. Is this an infection? I spent all
day on google and could not find any help, I have alot of pain on the
side where it was pulling been getting worse. What is this while film?
I have been on antibotics and hyrocodone7.5/750. The pills for pain
help but still i get very bad pain after 2-3 hours after the 30min it
takes to kick in can only take then 5 times a day. I have a ulcer and
cannot take anything like ibprofhen adivl asprin etc. Only tylonal or
hydrocodone with tylonal, codiene etc. It took 3 hours of surgry to
remove my tooth my dentist tried the tooth was fused to the bone. Then
i had to be rushed to a oral surgen who removed the rest of the tooth.
Swelling went down after 2 days after useing ice every hour. It hurts
so bad but i also really need to know what is this white like film
covering the area where it was take out. I want to know for sure before
i see a dentist or oral surgen btw who should i call my dentist or the
oral surgen. Sorry for the typos i just am very nervious and in pain.
Does anyone know what this white film is? i know what it looks like to
have a white spot by and infected tooth but this white area is covering
the whole soket where i got it take out of. also i had stitchs. please
anyone who knows about this i beg you to respond and help me out. Thank
you so much and i wish you all the best. Im going to try and lay down.

May be a dry socket.  If so, your dentist can pack the socket with a paste
to take away the pain.  Do you smoke?

Fibrin clot, leave it alone.
