Please help me understand if the crowning of an implant is mor
complicated i.e. more expensive than just crowning a cracked tooth o
a root canal.

My dentist wants to charge $1,750 to crown the implant, on top of th
$1,700 to do the implant.  Why is this crown so much more?  A norma
crown is around $800

Any help is appreciated

$800 would be very cheap for a crown.  The crown made over an implant
abutment has a very high lab fee and the dentist has to pay for the abutment
which fits under the crown.  The dentist makes about the same amount of
money on the implant crown as he does on the "regular" crown.
