Joel:
There is a problem posting on the dental forum.I cannot get a post
there.

There is a thread on the first page titled "Why "dis"endo.
I would like to clear up an issue there that is important and
misleading.

First, I am currently NOT a member of IAOMT.

The thread goes on to say  that I would make more money doing implants
and why don't I talk about that?

In fact I have been outspoken about implants on past radio programs
that I have done etc.

If you would,
could you please post the I am not generally in favor of implants the
way they are currently performed even though I took a 1 year post
graduate training in implants. Only in rare occassions (very very rare)
would I suggest them.

I had placed many in my career but not anymore.

If I still did, I  COULD afford a new computer!!!

Robert Kulacz, D.D.S.

Thanks.

PS::  To Dartos

1:Root canals are not sterile as you state. Even when performed to
perfection, RCT teeth are not sterile. This is in all of the current
scientific literature. The ADA admits this.

2. Epinepherine does cause transient ischemia that may be harmful to
some people. This is especially true in the mandible. It occurs with a
block injection but is more prono  unced and injurious to the bone with
an interligamantary injection or the stabident injection technique.

It will raise the pressure in the cancellous bone when a Stabident is
used. The result is reduced blood flow due to restriction of capillary
flow.

Thank you for your assistance.

Bob

I am not qualifed to be in this discussion, but this looks like a classic
"straw man" argument.  Are there any parts of the body that are sterile?
Sterile before or after any treatment?

Isn't the goal of rct to reduce the infection and remove dead tissue to the
point where the natural defenses of the body can re-establish control?

I think your assessment is accurate. I have noted much straw in the doctor's
case studies I have viewed thus far. My library is getting me a copy of his
book, as it was indicated there were many examples of good case studies in
there. They said they should have it Monday or Tuesday...I'll report back.

I never stated that root canals were 'sterile' (but they can
come very close).
I did not comment on Stabident or intraligamental injections
(though using the correct anesthetics and techniques, they are
quite safe).
What study anywhere has demonstrated reduced perfusion from an
IANB?
