The substance in the injection was epinephrine, which is really the
adrenaline we all know. There is a chance some of it was shot inside a
blood vessel in your gums, which would account for the symptoms you
experienced. This happens sometime, but only very occassionally. It is
very possible that the injection did not cause those symptoms, but they
were brought by by your own anxiety when faced with the dentist and a
needle. Even patients who are usually ok with dental treatment can have
bad days.
As for the epidural, you should really be posting in a obstetrician
forum, I'm afraid I can't help you with that.
Best of luck,
George

Epidural has nothing to do with epinephrine.

I think she meant: "will the epidural contain epinephrine". And the answer
is usually: no.

Nope. No epinephrine in the epidural. It could be harmful to the the baby.
In fact, most OB's prefer that anesthetics without epi be used on pregnant
woment.
