I need some help!!!

I went to the dentist in June to get a tooth extracted. I told him I
wanted the one that was rottening in the side pulled but he said that
the one that was huirting me was a wisdom tooth behind it. NOW i've
noticed my tooth that is rottening on the side is getting worse. I
can't afford to pay to get this one extracted to. Is there anything I
can do to prevent it from getting worse? Could I just let it rott out
down to where the rest of the tooth is ok. The root is fine and half
the tooth is. It's just the part of my tooth that is on the bottom
facing my bottom teeth. I could use any help...especially since we're
on a tight income and cant afford another one to be extracted!!! Thanks
