Its a misconception that savings are available at various dental
schools ...... they is why they do not post!

Besides "shopping for dentistry" is very tricky.

What do you need?

Anecdotal.

Patients tell me how much they paid for a denture at the dental school
........ no bargain.

Do a google on it. For example rates for UCLA School of Dentistry
procedures can be found on their web site.

I guess you have to call them to find out fees for general dentistry?

For what you get, the service I mean, it's not worth it, especially at
you know where, Joel.

Boy do I have so many fond memories of that place.

Are you aware that they (T**PLE) makes us (the students) financially
responsible for the patient charts?

Yup, unbelievable but true!

I too have memories of my schooling, not fond at all.

We were responsible for collecting the $$ for the treatment. I did a cast
partial for the Dean's sister-in-law. I was told not to worry about collecting
from her. When push came to shove, I lost credit for the unit because she did
not pay. I found out too late to pay for her myself just to keep the credit for
work completed.

I have a retired neighbor who goes to Harvard dental clinic. She said
clinic rates for a crown are ~$600 compared to the $1100 normally
charged in the greater Boston area

I go to a clinic as well, but it's still more than I can afford since I
cannot work due to illness. Medicaid doesn't cover it. For those here
that can afford giving $10 or $20 to me, please help. I guess I am
going to be the new resident begger here. That's how pathetic the
"safety net" in this country is! :-(
