STEP ONE
Get control!
Yeah life can deal you a bad hand but how you play the hand is more
important.
1. GET a good job.
2. If you are not educated, well educate yourself.
3. Stop wasting time pissing and moaning and IMPROVE.

YUP, its called the HARD WORK program. Get a job at Target where they
have some dental insurance. find a nice dentist and IT WILL HAPPEN!

WHERE?
What job? How much does she make?

Thanks, I see I forgot to add the question mark after the word as well. I
meant to ask if the gal was using the drug, not accusing her of it.

little discussions and even less solutions.

What in the world has meth-amphetamine have to do with this girl's

Somebody please explain.

_______________________________________
The abuse of methamphetamines has created a mini-epidemic of dental
caries in the United States. Drug abusers of the meth variety often
suffer from substantial caries attack on the buccal and labial surfaces
of the teeth. As these are the surfaces most exposed to view, it looks
terrible. This situation is often called "meth mouth."
It is extremely difficult to treat and control. Since this person's
condition cannot be diagnosed on the Internet, we don't know whether
she has "meth-mouth" or just has an unusually large number of cavities
-- but the description given would be enough for a doctor to suspect
and inquire about it, if only to rule it out.

Sure, partial or complete dentures.

Be a little more generous. Implants. Even if on amphetamine, the
implants would not be affected. The friend is asking if she can receive
help, so she may at least go for the better solution.

Are we talking about a meth addict here ?
Methamphetamine causes permanent psychosis.
I doubt many would take on a case such as this.

None of us know if she is a meth addict. My post may have been too hasty.
At any rate, she needs some kind of break in life.

Not all meth users are losers. Most are, but not ALL. I don't really care
if you think my opinion has been effected by some type of meth induced
phychosis and I am going to give it to you because it might be of some
interest. Yes meth is not good. Namely it effects ones nuerological
functions. However, there are a small number of us (I dunno, maybe I am the
ONLY one) who use a little every day to focus and to satisfy the
phsycological need. Life doesn't stop when no meth is around. It's just a
little nicer to start my day with a good breakfast, a strong cup of coffee,
and a little snort. I am self-employed running a home based window-tinting
business. I have put one son through college and have another son in high
school. One won't get rich in my line of work, but it covers the over-head
and it gives me the freedom to enjoy other pursuits like painting, gardening,
playing tennis, spending time with my son and looking for a superb dentist
who will give me my smile back on a payment plan. By the way, my dental rot
has been the result of being seriously anemic from an undetected fybroid in
my uterus for many years (fixed) and yes o.k. the drug.

Face the facts Sid, you are a drug addict.
Get some help before it's too late.
Uterine fibroids or anemia do not cause tooth decay.
It's about sugar intake and oral hygiene.
Eventually your meth use will catch with you.
There is no medically accepted use for amphetamines.

Not sure if the orgional poster will read this, but perhaps your
friend, can qualify for medical which is the same as Dentical, it will
cover some dental procedures, but the trick is finding a dentist that
will take that coverage, becuase most of the compensation is less then
what it actually costs the dentist causing the general dentist to loose
money.
good luck.
