I went to the dentist on 10/10/05 because I hate my partial denture. It
feels like someone shoved a 1957 Buick Roadmaster up my mouth.

I cannot chew comfortably with it. And swallowing makes me afraid I
will gag. The dentist said because of the shape of my mouth if I wanted
implants they would have to build up the bone in my mouth for implants.
Other than implants is there anything else I could do. I spent $1000
for this VALPLAST partial which is supposed to be the best and I cannot
bear it.
If you have only had it one day then you (hopefully) are jumping the gun. I
would say that at least a 4-6 weeks period would be needed for you to really
evaluate whether you will be able to wear and use the new partial. It takes
that long for your cheeks, tongue to get used to controlling its position.
Is this a replacement or your first partial ever?
