Anyone know anything or have experience with the Affordable Denture clinics?
I'm considering using them but would like some info. first if possible on
their quality of work, etc.  I'll be using the location in Tyler, Texas.

WHOT?? You can make dentures on MS-Paint?

In any business, they have happy clients, and unhappy ones.

What they have going for them is that's all they do.  So you can be
comfortable knowing that the doc there does a ton of these.

Quality's there - just don't get the dirt cheap ones - don't be afraid
to spend a little more.

How would one know if Dr. Affordable I mean Dr. Denture knows what he
is doing?

I'd rather get a recommendation for Julius T. Hossenpfeffer, D.M.D.

No way of knowing if you might be happy or not.  A few patients are
very
well pleased with about any denture made.  A few patients are unhappy
with about any denture made.  Everyone else is somewhere in the middle.

You will end up with "a denture".  If you like it, you're set and you
saved
a few dollars.  If you don't like it, you haven't lost a lot and might
want to
consider trying a regular dentist.

No matter what, 'sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes
you get less'.

I made a set of dentures for a lady with zero lower ridge. Several
months later, I spotted her in the reception room. She was so pleased
with the dentures ... yet as she was speaking I could see them bobbing
up and down. She claimed, "Oh I can eat anything," and my next patient
was the lady she had BROUGHT OVER to get her dentures from me too
.....

I didn't want to spook her and tell her that the bobbing dentures
looks like a really bum job!

MINE

So it goes ......

Here's the problem ...... any dental office known as Affordable
Dentures, most likely isn't.

Dentures are tough to make. Its best to find John Jones, D.D.S. who
may be around when you need him ......

The other guys are tough to locate after they quit ......

Well, my problem is my insurance only pays for half on dentures and only
pays 70% on my required dental surgery.  My regular dentist has given me a
cost estimate which is 4 times higher than their's for the dentures plus an
additional $500 for temporary denture for the top.  They have a package
which includes the temp.

I don't consider this a problem, considering about 25 of the population
has insurance, so I would consider yourself lucky!  This is standard
regarding insurance and major prosthetic work like this - they will
always cover half of treatment fees.

Try to look at this a different way.  You want to have these teeth for
a VERY long time.  You are, in fact, adding something to your body that
was lost.  I'm not saying cost isn't an issue, but, regarding something
as important as this, I wouldn't plact cost as the #1 deciding factor.
