Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have 3 questions.. maybe you can help..

1). Is it recommended to brush gums? I have a hard toothbrush and have
been brushing my teeth, as well as my gums. I've heard it is good to
"massage" the gums, but it dawned on me that I had better know what I'm
doing! (also, need to find a new dentist, as I've moved to a new city).

2). In the last few weeks, I've noticed a salty taste near the top of
my front gums. My gums aren't red, nor do I think they are swollen.
What could be the cause of this?

3). Is there a right or wrong way to floss? I have been pretty liberal
about reaching in as far as I can go, but maybe it damages gum tissue?

Thanx for any input.
