Howdy all:

I got this flyer in the mail this week, and it's not the first time. The
page is pink and there are lots of marketing ploys, such as the $799
admission fee is an unheard of bargain off the regular price, which is
1501$ more than the above, but ONLY if you order up until 30 Sept
20-2005. My question is simply this:

Has anyone actually been physically present and attending one of Ed
O'Keefe's marketing seminars? If so, what is your impression?

So let's have a good laugh at the naiveité of the Pipe wrt marketing
people.

thanks

Actually there is no Ed O'Keefe or seminars. It is a ploy from the
American colored paper Manufacturers of America who want to stimulate
sales.

PS ~ He sends me several faxes each week.

Didn't you get one of those maps???? They were handing them out just
after John Lennon got shot.

I get O'Keefe's mailer too. Sometimes it is in the form of multiple
colored pages, in a large envelope. I get e-mails as well.

In one of his most recent flyers, he spoke about a big discount or
something, due to his upcoming 30th birthday party.

Thirty? That was a bit of an eye-opener, as it means I was successfully
running a dental office before he was born. Makes me wonder just how
extensive his experience can be.

So, you have a perspective that I will never have... unless I practice
till I'm seventy or somewhere thereabouts... I think this is the same
thing that happens in the stock market: early bird blurbs concerning
some stock or other is put out by the pros. When the fish take the bait,
the day traders rack up their 5 percent per stock and sell them all off.
Often happens all before 11h00 AM... The key is to not get sucked in and
do your own research (if possible).

The key in dentistry is to do more dentistry than you have to pay
expenses for.... and then put the earnings into a hamburger....

OK... I'm going...
