Actually, its a web reader that is analgous to what a newsreader does
for nntp. Only this web reader reads xml information over http. This
is the technology that will power a web-enabled refrigerator to notify
the supplier to deliver a case of beer, or a quart of milk when the
supply gets low. RFIDs can measure what goes in and is taken out of
the refrigerator.
Its directly analogous. On the left are my groups of interest, at the
top are thread headers and in the lower right paneare the message
bodies (and photos).
This is why this was developed, by the way. That, plus the fact that
we port this to wireless handhelds, cell phones, Blackberries,
Treo650s, its a huge step forward with technology.
Eventually these desktops and notebook computers will all be history.

I figured it had to be something like that but the image was distorted and I
couldn't really tell what the text said. I agree that in time all this will
seem like cave drawings. When I can think what I want the the computer to
do (which we all do already) and it responds, then we'll be somewhere.
i'll *still* sell you scimeddentistry.com for a reasonable price.

Please notice when you direct your mouse towards the upper left corner
of the image, an icon appears on the bottom right. Click the icon and
the image returns to normal dimensions. That is thanks to Bill gates
who proabably has never tried it. It lousy!
Now DentalCom.Net never distorted images.
Remember them?

Why refrigerators need to port their thirst for beer to the internet via
a Blackberry is really beyond me...

Its coming dude.
Believe me there are many who say, "Why people behind a computer
screen and type away all night is not understandable."

It is amazing how easily (and thoughtlessly) people give up the most
personal of information to be collected, mulled over and shared by computers and
corporations. I am reminded of this every time I go the the CVS drugstore and
see people handing over those barcoded tags in exchange for a tiny discount.
How long could it be before your health insurer bases its rates on your family's
diet (based on information it gets from the supermarket)?
