Hello,

The last molar on the bottom left side of my mouth is part of a
bridge.  The tooth under the crown is bad and the gumline has receded
leaving a gap between the crown and the gumline.  The crown  feels
sharp and is very abrasive on the tongue.  It is seriously sore.  I've
made arrangement for an extraction by an oral surgeon, however, the
earliest appointment date possible is Oct. 5th.  I've been using
gauze, placed over the tooth, but that irritates the gums and doesn't
stay in place.  Right now, tissue seem better.  I called a pharmacist
tonight and he knew of no OTC product for this problem.  Tomorrow, I
am going to try 'caulking' the area with Trident gum.

Any help is appreciated!  Thank you.

Best regards,

Joe

Nope. We rev up an air turbine and trim back the edge. If I "caulk it"
with some glassionomer, its good as new.
