In all honesty, every case I've ever seen where the denture base does not fit
the tissues intimately, there is a tissue response. Is the research published or
just proclaimed?
I've seen the old style suction cups, with the rubber missing for a long time
leaving a perfect imprint of its lettering on the roof the mouth where the void
once was. On the opposite end of the spectrum, some idiot in Jamaica carves
their initials in the model of every case they do prior to processing to ID
their work. Little did they realize they were essentially "branding" the
patient.
