I am now in my 60s, my teeth are becoming worn and the enamel is almost gone
from the top surface, I have no cavities or pain, what is the suggested
method of repair
Thanks David

Many different options of various complexity and cost. all of which would
require a physical examination IRL to discuss with you.

I would add that IME, the worst enemy is 'Procrastination/Indecision'
precicely for the reason you stated above: you have no visible cavities
or PAIN. So the condition will deteriorate until major rehabilitation if
often the only recourse.

The first thing to do is to stop the cycle of clenching/bruxism/bad
habits/chemical degeneration and then rebuild.

You may need a protector to stop the process from continuing. I would
suggest wearing an NTI device (NTI-tss.com) and then seeing about
rebuilding the dentition or at least protecting it.

Cheers

Au contraire, ma chere Dame: the NTI will act as a good stop gap measure
and aid in diagnosing the problems that caused this dentition in the
first place. It is also especaially useful in that it will aid in
adjusting the bite (if necessary) and it is completely non invasive and
one hundred percent reversible: you just take it out in the morning. It
is the simplest non interventionist treatment I know of.

I should mention that I wear one myself, so I know what it can do.

What was the response that you wanted everyone to say?

Hi David,

Over the course of many years, I have found exactly one patient wh
claimed that "all the enamel was wearing off her teeth," where it wa
so. There were reasons, She was chewing against some hard porcelai
crowns.

Now your case.

Could you please snap a digital photo of a few teeth? That way you ca
get some intelligent replies from dentists and patients. ALTERNATIVELY
you will go into a dentist's office, and if it the wrong office, you ma
come out with lots of unneeded dentistry. This is the one thing I canno
understand about the internet. Everyone wants information, but they ar
unwilling to supply the details.
