Joel, did you vote?

Flap, did you?

I did - twice!
Flap - 11 Aug 2005 22:03 GMT
You gotta be sh.tting me!

I wouldn't vote for Farran for dogcatcher.

Did you see he has his almost ex-wife Judith trolling for votes.

Pathetic.
Joel344 - 11 Aug 2005 22:04 GMT
If you are referring to DT, I did not, will not, and can not vote. I am

happy on all three counts. I think its ridiculous and only serves so
Howard can extract even more money from his advertisers by allowing
them to use the silly statue thing. The only reason I voted in the past

was to avoid having Rod Kurthy on me about not voting. Everyone can
tell who has, and who has not voted.

But I did the whole one hour survey in around eight minutes. This is
my custom. I practice up on those silly CE tests the same way. If I
can't do thirty hours worth of tests in one hour, then I am slowing
down!

Well, certainly no one would want Rod Kurthy on them at all.  Quite a
bit of weight there.

But, Flap should talk.

Seems the Dental Town number of daily posts have started to dwindle.

I wonder when Farran starts fixing the numbers of surverys completed.

The advertisers must be gullible.  I mean how many supplies or lasers
can 400 dentists buy?

"The advertisers must be gullible.  I mean how many supplies or lasers

Well, let's see. At two lasers per dentist (which seems to be the
number indicated by the DT messages!) that would be about 800 lasers.

Can have some great Star Wars battles with them things.

Maybe if they break down quickly they will have some repeat sales.

But, what aobut all of those old Cerecs gathering dust and their
upgrades when the D4D makes its appearance next year.

How many throw away ad driven dental magazines do you get in the mail
each month?

At least 6 or 7 for me.

If that is true, I should be able to pick up a C2 really cheaply soon.

You have not looked closely at the D4D product yet.
Flap - 14 Aug 2005 19:28 GMT
Oh, is Patterson/Sirona buying this product from Schein?

Have you seen the BioLase advert in the magazine: They pole their OWN
study club (WCLI) as to the usefulness of the WaterLase. Of course, any
one in the WCLI is gonna find it useful.

Of course, they find that something like 98% of WCLI members deem the
contraption useful.... I wonder who had the guts to say what he really
thinks.

It's like walking onto a public transport airplane and asking the
passengers if the plane is useful....

Cheers

Having been used in a print ad for a while for two different products, I
will tell you that the most I got was a dress shirt with a logo on it.
Doing demonstrations for other docs in my office has gotten me a couple of
baseball caps and a polo shirt.  Beta testing software has gotten me a
monogrammed pen, a pencil cup, a battery operated desk-top clock and a
handheld calculator.

That is full disclosure.
Flap - 14 Aug 2005 19:26 GMT
Dr. Steve,

You have been hitting up the wrong companies.

Some docs I know get alot more and I do mean alot.

How much has Flap received or will Flap accept?

Nothing!

Therefore, I have nothing to disclose.

But, whenver I go to a continuing ed lecture/hands-on/demonstration
disclosure is sometimes made but most of the time not.  And on Dental
Town, DentalCom with anonymous posters it is impossible to discern who
is getting paid what to say.
