Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology specialists

http://www.aaomr.org/Specialty_Recognition_OMFR.htm

Recent discussion developed in asj-d concerning the question of which
type of doctor is best suited for care and treatment of a patient
presenting with TMJ and orthognathic surgery needs.

The discussion evolved and was cross-posted in part to
sci.med.dentistry.  As part of the discussion, the original poster
shared some information about recent radiology studies.

It occurred to me this morning, that maybe this would be a good time to
bring attention to the newest dental specialty, Oral and Maxillofacial
Radiology.

This seems a perfect time to ask about how the speciality is helping the
professional and the patient-public at this point in time.  I am
cross-posting this to include smd.
