Background:
30 years old.
Get cleaning check up twice a year
The dentist usually checks my jaw/bite alignment - he puts his hand on
my jaw (near the ears) and I open and close my mouth, he always said it
was fine.
I do grind my teeth sometimes, I dont notice or have any symptoms, but
I do notice that some of my teeth are worn. (noticed this years ago)
I never get tension headaches or anything other stress related thing

Ok, on Saturday I woke up and went to eat.  When I tried to chew my
food on the right side, I had intense pain.
Felt better (but still had a lot of pain) if I chewed on the left side.
No pain if I touched the right side, no pain if I had a big bite, (like
biting a magic marker) only when the teeth were close together (like
biting a pen)

I assume I was grinding my teeth at night and that caused my right
tendon to become overworked? (like a pulled muscle)
Is this correct?

Its Wednesday, and its mostly back to normal.

My next dental appointment is for Oct, should I be worried and try to
see him before then, or .... ?

Thanks

IF you are back to normal, I would not worry about it, I might suggest
considering an device to prevent night-time forceful clenching.
