"Sinus Tract" on Lower Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

As I mentioned in a different thread, my impacted lower wisdom tooth
developed an infection. While my OS was dictating to his assistant, he
mentioned "sinus tract" (or track, not sure which is correct). I
thought only upper wisdom teeth had the possibility to come in contact
with your sinuses. Is this serious, because he never mentioned anything
to me about it afterwords.

    A draining sinus is the path by which exudate perforates through the
adjacent bone.  This has nothing to do with your sinuses (specifically
your maxillary sinuses, if your concern is roots lying within the sinus).
