Every summer for as long as I can remember, this newsgroup takes a turn in what has become a 'predictable direction'. It's a change of pace ... can't deny that. Detroit has changed all their security measures on the Riverfront this morning (concerned about the All Star Game). It looks like the big freighters are the only vessels which will be navigating the waters in front of Downtown. And, those are all steered by local pilots. I would not be surprised if the border patrol shuts down the channel to commercial traffic during the "Big Event". I feel very bad for all our GB friends.
