Hello Everybody,
I'm writing you from Italy.
On some magazines I noticed pictures of people with masks on teeth made
of metal (silver, gold,...).
I would like to know, if somebody knows about this field, if it is
possible to put teeth made of metal (steel ?).
I'm not talking about gold caps but real metal teeth inserted in the
gums with metal "pivots".
Surely we wouldn't have no more teeth decay, cleaning or tooth lost.
It could become more an aesthetic problem.
Can someone, maybe a dentist, tell me if an operation of this kind
could be made and how much it could cost ?
Sorry for my English.
Thank you.
Luca

Do you know Lucky Diamond ? I think he was a tattoer who wear "silver
caps". You can find an interview of this strange but funny person on
the link below (www.mantratattoo.com) BUT you are advised, you can be
disappointed to see his pictures if you don't like tattoos:

I had metal teeth when I was a kid. Well, sort of. At age 4 I had to
have every tooth capped with stainless steel. Something about my teeth
being brittle.
It makes you look like a freak when you smile. Especially if you give a
big smile when having your picture taken. The steel caps either appear
black or reflect the camera's flash, so your mouth looks like an empty
black hole with a few little sparkles here and there.
