I've reposted this as a new topic. Don't bothere responding, as I'm
blowing this insane assylum momentarily.... smokers the lot.

Hi gang. ISP (sympatico) is all f'ed up... They phoned me last week and
asked if I wanted to upgrade to BellNet. I said "Why not..." so,
instead of waiting till I got the new DSL modem, they CLOSE my
sympatico account!!!!!! I cannot believe the ineptitude and lack of
consideration!

And of course, they are only open for phone business when I don't have
time to phone them. Bell sucks the big one.

So... I'm in a really insane Internet gaming emporium, and I am sure
I'm the only one sending mail to groups. I just wanted to let everyone
know I'm not dead yet.

Cheers and hope to be back soon    ;-)

Dont know if this is being explained correctly.   But the ISPs that have a
large membership are overflowing, I believe.    There are days when the
lines are not accessible for the internet due to heavy use.   Like the SBC,
telephone Co. in this area, apparently has overextended itself and is not
available at all times.
Perhaps the only way to get around it is to keep AOL with dial up in
addition, to maybe have better access to the internet at all times.    Even
that is iffy, and the cost would be rather high as both the phone co. and
AOL would be at full cost.    This is my  experience, don't know about
others.
