In market for an Oral B electric brush. I can spend abt $20 at Walmart and get the regular Oral B unit..... with no "3D action". Or I can spend abt $70 and get the model that does have 3d action. Get the Oral B Professional Care 8000 series its the same as the 3D excel but the latest model. The $20 electric brush is not waterproof and will not last as long. Its better to invest in a better quality electric toothbrush. You can also buy the power polisher heads which have the rubber polishing cup between the bristles. It appears that the Oral B Pro 8000 series is just the same brush as the 3D excel.. but with a lot more accessories included. True? If yes.... is it really worth having all those accessories and tips I may not use? not a lot more accessories as it seems. Tongue scraper is interesting but that's about it. The other stuff you can buy separately. The 8000 series is a little different than the 3d excel in that the speed control works by holding the button as the unit slows down and then speeds up. The 3dexcel and the 7000 series have a fixed second speed. The 7000 series has a blue "wow" light. I am not sure if the 8000 you can get at walmart yet you may have to go through your dentist to order it for you. Anyway there is a significant price difference between the 8000 and 7000 not really justified.
