Hi folks,

We are in the process of selecting a dental software for our office
(with 4 opertories) and we have come down to two companies: Eaglesoft
and Softdent.

Please let us know if you have any experience with either of these two.
Many thanks in advance.

I prefer Open Dental. You can download a demo version at
www.open-dent.com.

I use Eaglesoft and did use Softdent when it was DOS based (!) I like
Eaglesoft, it functions well. I suppose all software has its quirks and
Eaglesoft has a few. But I don't think you would be dissapointed if you went
with Eaglesoft.

It all boils down to the local store you have to deal with.  I get treated
fantastically here by the Detroit store.  W_B had problems with the store
near him in DC, Oregon, Nevada, wherever it was.  I tried to get the area
manager near me to chase down W_B's problems for him, but that manager got
transferred before he was able to help.  I have not yet had the pleasure of
knowing the new manager yet.
