Is it common for a persons teeth to become more susceptible to decay as
they get older? When I say older I mean late 40's and early 50's.

Changes in habit and diet can occur as well as changes in health.

Some people begin taking anti-hypertensive or anti-anxiety drugs which dry
the mouth.

There is a gradual drying of the mouth as people age.

Not taking any drugs, but I've been using Biotene dry mouth gum at
night. Hopefully this helps to fight some of the decaying effects.
