Hi All,

Don't post often anymore, but do check in and read from time to time.
Actually, I find it amazing that many of the same 'issues' keep
returning...

I'm doing well with my full uppers and partial lowers (Ate corn on the
cob last week!).  In fact, am due for a reline.  It is so great to NOT
have pain and infections!

Just wish I could sell enough eBooks (ahem!!!) to get a better quality
denture than Medical provides (I keep wearing down the chewing
surfaces of this cheap acrylic!).

Found a great YahooGroup I've been meaning to tell you about:  Denture
Adventures http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/dentureadventures/
they have over 1200 subscribers.  Good sensible advice & support
there; I've been a member for over a year.  They'd probably love to
have some dentists join!!!

Catch Up:
-Last cancer check was still clear.  Chemo seems to be 'holding'.
-I feel SO MUCH BETTER, now that Hereditary Hemochromatosis is being
treated.  (It's surprising what you can get done if you're not in bed
75% of the time!)
-My eBooks are NOW available at online retailers (Amazon, Powells,
etc) just do a search for evvy garrett.  GO BUY A COUPLE!
-I have a GREAT Blog:  http://evvygarrett.blogspot.com/
-Dentists are still some of my fav folks and darned if I know why!

PLEASE DO NOT REPORT ME FOR SPAM: OLDER MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP KNOW
ME!!!

Thanks and I'm trying !!!

Must say it isn't easy.  It's hard to get past the resentment I feel
at 'losing' 15 YEARS of my life (I equate it to being in a coma for 15
years!).

Recovery remains (there will never be 'full' recovery, too much damage
was done) dependant on POVERTY, & the fact that I will be 60 next
Jan!!!

But you all KNOW how stubborn I am...

Like I'm not reminded of "older" every day <G>.

Glad to hear you're doing well.

I KNOW that feeling!  Suddenly I'm almost 60!!!  But of course I
included that, 'cause I didn't want to be reported for SPAMMING
again!!!

(I'd STILL like to know who did that!)

Ask the dentist to place composite fillings in the molars.

Works great !

Sounds like a good idea, will mention it to dentist...

Or ask your dentist to find a lab that will use a better tooth. For about $10.00
USD a denture one can have Kenson teeth, which I've frequently seen with minimal
wear at 5 years.

I'm up for a reline, and it'll be a couple of years before I can get
new dentures, but am keeping and filing this message!!!

Thanks!
