Ever since I got my braces off years ago I haven't been able to naturally
close my mouth.  My normal relaxed state is with my lips parted and if I
force my lips together I look funny.  Is there a name for this condition?
How can I deal with this problem?  It makes me very self conscious to not
be able to close my mouth like everyone else can.

Thanks,
Jenny

You remember not having this problem prior to getting braces? Some folks'
anatomy is just such that it would be a strain to keep their lips together
at rest. Short lips/long jaw would do this. Maybe you had more jaw growth
after the braces came off. Can you post a picture of your lower face here
(nose and below)?
