Hello,

On May 3 I had a dental appointment and got two fillings on the lower
right side. On May 11 I went back and had another three done on the
upper right side. Then on  the evening of May 15 (last Saturday) I
started experiencing a small pain on the right side of my jaw. The pain
reached moderate levels that night. On Monday and Tuesday it was the
same. This morning I woke up and had no pain, and then a few hours
later it returned.

I can describe the pain as dull, and originating on the right side of
the jaw. I feel it more on the bottom but it seems to radiate all
through the lower right area and isn't focused on one tooth. I have no
sensitivity to hot or cold except on my top teeth that were done more
recently, and chewing generally makes it feel _better_. When I take
Tylenol I get one of two effects: the pain goes away completely and I
am comfortable, or the pain goes away but I feel a tightness in the
area of pain which spreads to my cheek and down to my chin.

I'll be making an appointment in the next few days but I'm just curious.

My first guess would be a high spot on the fillings done. Since in both
appointments the treatment was on the right side.
At night you could be grinding to elimnate the spot.
So from what you are telling it sounds like muscular pain to me. I don't
know what tylenol contains, since this is not available in Germany, so I
can't explain that. But the tightness could be some muscular spasm.

It also can just be some infection of the tooth if the filling was deep
down to the nerve.

I can just search for painfull spot on your muscles to discriminate.

The Brits call tylenol "Paracetamol".  Generic name: Acetaminophen.
