None of your posts were on the newsgroup yesterday during
'normal' hours CDT. This is not a 24 hour emergency hot
line. Give things a day or two and you might have several
comments.
As with questions about dental diagnoses and dental questions
in general, it is impossible to tell exactly what is happening
over a computer.
We are getting one side of the story which may or may not be
accurate. Even if it is factual, it certainly does not show
how your actions were interpreted by the office in question.
That said, many areas of our lives lack real connections and
understanding. 'In the old days', people actually 'knew' their
physicians, dentists, pharmacists, grocers, mechanics, etc.
Now many businesses (even health care) are large and impersonal.
'They' don't know you and you do not know them. This can lead
to a different way of doing business.
Every office has 'systems' which help employees keep the operation
running with some degree of efficiency. Open time in the schedule
keeps the overhead running and no income to pay the bills. This
can be a big problem in some settings. To avoid this, patients
are sometimes removed from the practice if they have a history of
breaking appointments. Kind of a 'three strikes and you're out' policy.
The dentist may be totally unaware of your individual situation.
You may be able to talk to the office manager or even write a personal
letter to the dentist explaining your situation. You could even offer
to pre-pay for your next appt. This might get you in the door again.
If not, you'll just have to forget it and move on.

Reminds me of what I do around here when someone absolutely insists they
have to have a Saturday appointment. I tell them they can have a Saturday
appointment or even a Sunday appointment, if they will pay for the entire
appointment at least two weeks ahead of time,,,,,,,,,, and I get to keep the
money if they don't show up. Suddenly, that patient can make an appointment
on Tuesday morning. Amazing.
