Small Blood Blister Like Lump in Mouth

Hi there,

Recently I noticed a small, blood blister like lump on the floor of my
mouth, under the tongue.  The lump is fairly small, maybe 1/16th of an
inch in diameter.  I've made an appt with my dentist to check it out,
but can't get in for another 4 weeks.

I was able to take a picture of it, and was wondering if someone might
be able to check it out for their opinion.

Any comments/help greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

James.

Hello James.

Here is what I would do. I would call
an oral surgeon for diagnosis.

The surgeon most likely could get you into
the office within two days as this is something
that he could look at in four seconds. Now if
he needs you to return, then it can be scheduled.

Your own dentist is busy with bridgework and
dentures and that is all fine, but patients are entitled
to immediate care.

Yeah, thought of that. But I can't get that appt without a referral
from my dentist, and that's still 3weeks away.

Hmm thats bad. I would take a close look for changes going on. Fast
changing to bigger darker or aching would be alarming for me.

I also agree to see a surgeon. Perhaps you can find another one in your
area that doesn't need a referral.
