I need to call and schedule my appointment to have
5 extraction and 6 implants placed but I keep getting
cold feet everytime I start to call. How complicated is
the implant procedure??

Depends. Are the implants going to be placed at the same time as the
extractions? Is there going to be bone grafting? Where are the
implants going to be placed?

Take a bus to Las Vegas and then to Albuquerque.
Call in and say you were kidnapped.

Take a bus or taxi or a bicycle or your car or your feet over to your
surgeon's office and sit in his/her office and _ask_ these questions.
This will not be the appointment where you get the surgery done. This
will be the appointment were all your guestions are answered. I am
surprised this has not been done already. If it had, you wouldn't have
these questions; you would just have not-so-warm feet.
Make sure your questions are answered. The surgeon's office usually has
someone to field these types of questions and maybe even some written or
video material for patient education. Arm your self against the fear
with knowledge.

Finally: take out the TRASHH
Dr. V OMFS, DMD - 06 May 2005 21:37 GMT
Call your dentist, make an appt to talk about the procedure. Tell him/her
about your concerns and what, specifically has you worried.
Take time to write down every question you can think of BEFORE you go to
this appointment. Keep a list and every time you think of another question
add it.
If you don't feel comfortable or your questions aren't answered to your
satisfaction, don't do it!!
