I have IAN nerve damage from a wisdom tooth extraction which sometimes
drives me crazy with unrelenting tingling and unpleasant senstions in
the lip and jaw. I would like to ask if anyone knows if it is possible
or has anyone heard on anything that can be done to completely destroy
the nerve and just leave complete numbness instead of continous
unpleasant sensations? Most people I have asked in the past (though I
haven't asked for a few years and maybe the science of nerve damage has
moved on) didn't seem to know or just gave confliction opions as to its
possibility or advisability.

I read of people being left with numbness and lack of sensation and I
think : cor...I wish I was that lucky.
