I posted earlier that my fiance has problems with front upper tooth-was
knocked out, has real root in place...now the dentist wants to do the same
thing (or have oral surgeon do) again-drill into root under gum,etc-not
sure of medical terms...but said if that doesn't work a bridge or implant
would be the next option.  He is supposed to go out of the country for work
in the next week or so...what do you think he should do?  Is he wasting
money on the repeated surgery OR should he wait and see if it continues to
be a problem?
I have to say this is a wonderful site for advice, etc. Thanks for any
input.

Get a 'flipper' (temporary partial stay-plate)
if esthetics <appearances> are an issue.

Wait until returning home for more definitive treatment.

Take out the G'RBAGE

Not a bad idea.  Without careful consideration, another post and
crown may not be any stronger than the last one.  Can't say without
an X-ray.  Implants are quite predictable.

OK, this gets complicated. If you err, it will cost someone big time.
So why not post a nice clear jpg of the x-ray?

I sure would if I wanted real information, not just generalized
suggestions.

True, it is. There are many detractors, but it is still a great bunch
of people, W_B included.
