I had a tooth pulled about 10 days ago. It was the back molar on the upper left side. (I had wisdom teeth out a long time ago, I don't recall if I previously had a molar out.) I now have a not so bad cold with associated nose blowing. Within the last two or three days I seem to notice a strange smell coming from the left side (not often) . It smells like something decaying. I am concerned that somehow a sinus was penetrated in the process or something. Is this a concern I should bring to the Dr. who removed the tooth? Thanks. Bill Forceful blowing of the nose right after extraction of upper molars can open a hole into the sinus. Have it evaluated by your dentist.
