OK, I don't see a dentist as often as I ought to, which is why I'm
asking this question here rather than asking my dentist.
Anyway... years ago, while I was having my teeth cleaned, my dentist
stopped and had a look at my x-rays. What he thought had been a stubborn
bit of plaque, turned out to be a tiny little eye tooth!
My question is, how small is the smallest tooth you've ever seen? OK,
another question, is this common or should I be contacting Guinness?

It is very cute.
It ranks up there with some of the smallest malformations
that I have personally encountered in my practice.
Too common to contact The Guinness Book of World Records...
however, a pint of Guinness Stout wouldn't be out of bounds.
Nice photo-micrograph.

Thanks for the prompt reply, it just figures that my best "malformation"
is a common one!
I feel like a traitor about the Guinness, would a glass of Merlot do?
Cheers

I would say yes....
If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to photograph this tooth?.
It is one of the best patient submissions I've seen yet.
Thanks

Thanks Steve, I don't mind at all.
I used my Minolta A1, not only is it a great digital camera, it can take
very good macro images too.

Not at all.... I'll remember that for when we need a smaller camera to
take on vacations.... Shlepping my big old Fuji 6900Z is getting
dangerous for its health
