Kevlar and Bone Regrowth

About 12 years ago I was told by my dentist that I was about to lose my
two front bottom teeth.  They were very wiggly and she said that the
bone had decayed. I went to a specialist who treated me by adding a
Kevlar material to the gum bone for a couple months.  The effect was
that the kevlar material discouraged bacterial growth and allowed the
bone to regrow naturally. I still have my two bottom teeth and they are
very strong, normal and with absolutely no problem.  Unfortunately that
specialist retired shortly thereafter.

Now I have another tooth with bone loss (side molar) and the dentist
suggested that I have cadaver bone added. Ugh. I would dearly love to
find another specialist who uses that marvelous Kevlar technique. I
live in Los Angeles, CA.

I've searched the web and asked many individuals/dentists, but nobody
seems to know about this treatment.

Please-- has anyone heard of this Kevlar treatment for tooth bone
and/or know of a definitive dental source that could direct and help me
find a specialist in my area?  Please email me directly as I'm unable
to read the newsgroups very often.

Thanks very much.

I'm no dentist but have used Kevlar before so I was interested to see it
mentioned here.

This page..

http://www.periomao.com/occadj.html

.. talks about splints made from Ribbond  "which is a Kevlar material" that
is "placed just underneath the surfaces of the teeth".

Is this perhaps what the OP means?
