My brother had radiation therapy for a tongue cancer. He is now faced
with having an abcessed tooth extracted. Obviously the big concern
is osteoradionecrosis and he has heard that hyperbaric treatments
before and after the extraction may reduce the possiblity that
osteoradionecrosis would occur.
Which medical facility/doctor/dentist in the US has the most advanced
development and success of this treatment? My brother is willing to
travel to get the best care that will reduce his chances of getting
osteoradionecrosis. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated

That is correct.

If your looking to research the topic, google Dr. Robert Marx and
hyperbaric oxygen.
Depending where your brother lives, there may be a facility in a
neighboring hospital. HBO therapy is used for alot of things.
Practicing in Wilmington Delaware means I send my patients to the
University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Good luck.

What about O3? Is Ozone something that can help here, and has anyone
tried it? It has been suggested by the people peddaling the HealOzone.
Thanks

The ozone treatments are geared for killing bacteria.
Osteoradionecrosis is not an infection mediated process like caries.
