5 Year Old - Permanent Teeth

My 5 year old lost her first tooth and the adult tooth has been coming in
for the last 3 weeks or so.

What I've noticed is the tooth is not pure white, but off in color, almost
grey or slightly darker.

Is this normal or is this something I have to be concerned about.  She has
not had any facial injuries that would have hurt her teeth.

Thank you.

It is normal, IME, for the permanent teeth to be darker in color than
the primary ones. Watch the amount of fluoride she gets (for the other
developing teeth) by brushing twice a day with fluoride-containing tooth
paste (morn and b/4 bed). You can get non-fluoride toothpaste for the
other brushings. Use olny a pea sized amount, and push it INTO the
brush, so it will last, and tell your little girl not to swallow it.
Don't worry too much about the color at this point. If they are really
grey, you can get a bleaching done later.
hope this helps

Yes.... like about the time his girlfriend starts complaining about his
front teeth.... FWIW, mine are yellow, and they will STAY that way. When
I take a photo of my anteriors to show the relation of the lowers with
the NTI, it may be evident.

.... I know y'all just can't wait....
