Hi
I had a tooth out 2 weeks ago and was prescribed anti biotics to get rid
of the abscess that was underneath it.

The swelling on my race reduced after about 2 days and vertually gone on my
last day of anti biotics (5 days). However, my jaw still feels a little bit
stiff and parts of the gum are sensitive. I'm paranoid the dentist took out
the wrong tooth (he said maybe) and the abscess will return. Is the
stiffness/sensitivity just down to the gum healing? How long 'til I can chew
on that side?.

I;d also like to point on that on the other side of my mouth, the ditch
between cheek/gum is now much deeper than where I had a tooth taken out...is
this normal?

My face doesn't appear swollan anymore.

Sounds like everything is fine (from here anyway ~ no diagnosis
possible).

I'd suggest x-rays and an assessment. You are losing too many teeth
for a young guy!

Sounds like every tooth I've ever had taken out. Except you can't chew
on it still? I usually started chewing on both sides again after it
stopped bleeding when I did so.

Wierd. Are you sure about this one?

Have it looked at. At the same time, try to rule out any underlying
disorder that can interfere or slow down the healing process.
Hope this helps
