Dear Colleagues!

I am the doctor of a nuclear medicine.
My wife suffers TMD after change of her occlusion.
I addressed on this forum several years ago - (2002-02-25)
You have advised to buy the book: Management of Temporomandibular
Disorders and Occlusion (4th Ed.) Jeffery P. Okeson Mosby 1998

I have bought this book, and then bought 5 edition.

Stomatologists treat my wife, using these books. However, treatment
gives temporary improvement. Serious pains in muscles of a head and a
neck are observed. Trigger points are present permanently.

Okeson recommends books: Travell JG, Simons DG: Myofascial pain and
dysfunction: the trigger point manual, 1983, Williams & Wilkins (1&2
vol)
Fortunately, these books are published on Russian.  These books are
very good, however, they are issued many years ago.

Give me advice, please. Whether should I buy recent books now? And
what books?
With the best regards,

Sergey Plyasunov

NTI.  The inventor of the device has been to Russia a couple of
times over the last 5 years, but I don't know if any dentists have
been trained.  If not, they need to learn.  It is amazingly simple,
inexpensive, and effective.

Fawks

Changing her occlusion probably did not cause the problem.  They probably
changed her occlusion in an attempt to treat the muscle problem which was
already there.  Unfortunately, they were probably looking at the symptoms of
the problem rather than at the cause.
