Tooth sensitive to cold

I wonder if anyone can give me any advice on a tooth that is extremely
sensitive to cold? I have seen a dentist who told me he could not see
any cavity or cracks in the tooth. The tooth hasn't had any fillings or
work done it.

He told me I had a deep bite on that tooth and filed part of it down.
He also said that he expected me to start feeling improvement overnight
but after about a week things haven't really gotten any better.

After drinking cold liquids the tooth continues to hurt for a few
seconds. I don't feel any real discomfort when I run my finger around
the gums either, though he did say he saw a little gum recession there
that he thought had come from grinding.
Any suggestions on what I should do?

A guess would be to get a root canal treatment

Sensodyne toothpaste may help.
If there is some gum recession, it
could be from there. The root has
no enamel covering it.

Our term for this is PULPITIS.

You should define 'reversible' and 'irreversible'.

OK That which cannot be reversed is irreversible.

Now define remediable!

NTI (stop the clenching), toothpaste for sensitive teeth (Sensodyne,
Crest Sensitive), stop any bleaching/tartar control/peroxide use, and
wait a while.

If the tooth needs a root canal, there will be no improvement from these
efforts.  If it is due to clenching, things will gradually improve
(though with exposed root surfaces, they may not completely 'go away').

JMO,
Fawks

If You have these symptoms for some period and it last short tima from time
to time
1  you ought to use some desyntetizers and varnishes
2 in some cases Its better to join these 2 stuffs
3 if you have deep bite dentist should relieve this tooth
4 treatment last about 2 weeks add biostymulatory laser in addition and
everything would be ok

If the pain lasts all time or long period try
1 drill and put inside close to the pulpa some medicine like ledermix or
pulpomyxine or other similar stuff
2 make almost the some like above after 3-4 days If everything will be
getting better
3 observation for 2 months
4 put filling material

IF NOT __ MAKE ENDO_TREATMENT
