How much money does it cost for a crown? "approximately".  I had a root
canal done today "painless", couldn't believe it.  Anyway, I need a
crown on Jan 7th.  Root canal was free, crown will cost me 20%.  Anyway,
ballpark figure will do.  Thanx in advance and Merry Xmas.....P.S....
I live in Canada, if that makes a difference "exchange and
everything"..thanx again....

Good deal. How much does the government or insurance pay the doctor
for the root canal?

A crown in the US is anywhere from $300 to $1,000 and up depending on
type, on insurance, and where its done.

Joel

(ALL US dollars, what's the exchange rate by the way?)

My Teamster dental plan paid for the exam and the root canal.  Total
came to 980.00.  The exam took about an hour and 15 minutes, the root
canal about an hour and a half "two different days".  My dental covers
$1000.00 basic, $1000.00 Major "20% paid by me, only for major".  A
crown apparently is "major".

Thanks.  BTW, my tooth that they did yesterday hurts a little today.
Anything to be concerned about.  Nothing too bad just annoying.

$1.23 Canadian will buy you a U.S. dollar.

Nope, normal. The root is sealed up and the residual bacteria will be
resolved by the body's immune system.

Good insurance, by the way. Usually a crown is 50/50%
