Wal-Mart, just to fool us.

BTW, Joel, haven´t you read Keri´s post to Yahoo´s FluoridePoisoning
group?
It´s still there. Look for Karasmom2004 ("Keri Fuller"). It´s there
where I read her "Chicken Sticks" story. Maybe you can there continue
your discussion with her?

I´m saying no nothing about any chicken things. Except....

There are analyses saying that baby foods containing chicken have much
fluoride.
According to some Madison researchers (Suttie & Co.), chicken also have
a relatively high blood fluoride level without any apparent harm. Lucky
chicken.

Keri
Welcome aboard. We will try and give you the real info to the best
of our knowledge.

first stop using F- toothpaste - use Toms of maine but READ the
lables some are fluorinated. You can also use home ingredients like
baking soda or salt like people use in the old days.

Find clean water- bottled water does not mean it is better - look it
up on google - some comes right from city water ! I get my water
from the the water dept of our neighboring township - Negaunee
Township. I asked for the water tests mandated by law and confirmed
that F- was nondetectable. Buy distilled water if no other
confirmed fluoride free water is available.

Quit the grapes. Then look for mechanacally deboned chicken baby
foods and avoid them. And all mech deboned baby foods. They feed
these critters lots of fluoride in their feed - it goes to the bone
and the deboning process chips off the bone. Voila high F- !!

Fluorosis is a symptom of poisoning that reveals itself in the teeth
as they erupt. Your babe has her baby teeth. If you help her stay
away from F- as much as possible fluorosis could be minimized. You
can not avoid it completely. Check out fluoride in food as PFPC
website.

While her teeth are very important - avoiding F- might save her
health in countless areas other than her teeth.

I hope there is some useful info here - but don't be afraid to ask
about anything. Also googling with the magic word (fluoride ) and
words (fluoride poisoning) will really get you to the info. Look in
the links section at left.

Thanks. I already started buying distilled water and cut her off
from fluoride toothpaste, and grapes. My concern is the damage that
I have already done. Does anyone know how many milligrams per day
will result in fluorosis in a 2 year old (when her permanant teeth
come in)? Also, she has Gerber chicken sticks. The ingredients
just say finely ground chicken. It does not say deboned or
mechanically separated. Is that the same thing?

Thanks,
Keri

K

If she does not consume F- while her teeth are erupting no fluorosis
will occur.

PMID: 11559124 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]

Infant foods had the highest fluoride content followed by chicken
sticks, luncheon meats, and canned meats. A single serving of
chicken sticks alone would provide about half of a child's upper
limit of safety for fluoride.

http://www.chemtrailpatrol.com/cpr_mcfluoride.htm

At age three to five, permanent front teeth form under the gums. So
fluoride ingestion has to be especially monitored during this time.
To avoid fluorosis the National Academy of Science advises the
following daily fluoride intake from all sources (food, air, water,
medicines, and supplements):

· infants up to 6 months old - less than 0.01 mg · babies from 6 -
12 months less than 0.5 mg · children from 1 to 3 years old - 0.7 mg
· children from 4 to 8 years old - less than 1 mg

The above-mentioned study shows small children often exceed these
dosages from food alone.

The above-mentioned study shows small children often exceed these
dosages from food alone.

Two slices of "Iron Kids Bread" dose your kids teeth with about 0.08
milligrams fluoride. While two slices of "Aunt Millie's Homestyle
Buttermilk White Bread" releases only .03 mg. Five and one half
ounces of Lay's baked potato chips confers 0.20 mg fluoride, while,
the same amount of Ruffles delivers .11 fluoride

Many other studies reveal hidden fluoride in jarred baby chicken
food, chicken sticks and luncheon meat. Forty two percent of juices
contain more fluoride than recommended for small children. And 71%
of sodas contain more than .6 ppm fluoride (0.6 milligrams per litre
or quart).

Ironically, while the fluoride in soda contributes to dental
fluorosis, fluoride can't help teeth eroded by soda.

"Premature loss of tooth enamel and weakening of overall tooth
structure are two devastating oral effects of teens' poor diet that
can not be reversed later in life," explains Jane Soxman, DDS,
author of a new study that appears in the January/ February 2003
issue of General Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry's (AGD)
clinical, peer-reviewed journal.

Thanks for all that info. It is extremely helpful. I see the part
where it
says the age of 3-5 yrs old is the most important time to avoid
fluoride because
thats when those top two front teeth are forming. The CDC says it is
from 21-30
months. It sucks that there is so much contradictory info out there.
Again, I
am very grateful for the links and info.
