anyone have good advice for a first year dental student?
JWN DDS - 16 Dec 2004 05:51 GMT
Hang in there :)

Learn all you can even if it seems stupid.  I guarantee you will be asked
alot of stupid questions by patients so learning the stupid stuff is still
important.

It may sound cruel, but...

Study!

Oh yeah, and hang in there - most make it through and graduate.

What are you doing here?  I thought you were in Ohio helping with the
recount.

UM or UDM ??

Advice, tell your family and friends not to be offended, but they will
hardly see you or hear from you for the next 4 years.  Immerse yourself into
learning dentistry.  Forget about pride in the clinic and in the labs.  Try
everything the instructors way once or twice before giving up on their
style.  Study hard.
