Dr Eichen, I saw several of your notes about characterized teeth.
Would you be so kind as to share the name of a supplier or two. I am
in the process of having an removable appliance made for six implants
in my maxilla. All that my dentist has shown me is the "toilet bowl" -
"piano" teeth and he claims that this is the only type availble from
his suppliers. Thanks.

Who is the mfg. of the Swissedent teeth your referring to ?
The original Swissedent teeth (900 series) which Dr. Frush brought to
the U.S was made my Candulor in Zurich, Switzerland. www.candulor.com
I use three different types of denture teeth. Ivoclar Vivadent Blue
Line for Complete dentures with lingualized occlusion. Candulor for
Anterior Porcelain cases with Condyloform posteriors.they are the most
esthetic and functional porcelain teeth on the market. Willi Geller's
Creapearl denture teeth from Jensen for implant supported hybrid
cases, they have a beautiful translucent layer and seem to just come
alive in the oral environment..

Joel, When I did removeables, I was partial to Vident and Ivoclars
line. Both are bought through these manufacturers. I liked their
anteriors for shape and form and the posteriors just seemed more
natural in length and occlusal anatomy. Rick

Joel is a little out of touch with the dental industry. Swissedent has been sold
under the Geneva2000 label in North America for quite some time now. Their
products can be found at:

I believe Roy Smudde bought the rights a few years back, some of his stuff is a
bit controversial especially the consumer product line. Where one can find items
such as amalgam detoxifiers.
Have a bit of fun try using the links to find a dental professional.

You all may want to look at the "PE" and "Antaris" lines from Ivoclar. I find
these two lines to be very esthetic, while not going overboard on the
intrinsic and surface staining. The wear resistance is also substantially
better than that of the IPN materials that I used in my first implant cases.
