I have a simple question I think. I am wondering if there is an OTC rinse
that will help with ulcer/soreness in the mouth (not thrush or fungus this
time).  I have used Nystatin before which helps but it is an RX.  I have
this problem due to a side effect of a chronic disease (CD) which is one of
many extras that come with it. Also, there is a tube of stuff for rubbing
sores from dentures, could someone tell me the name?  It has a oily like
texture with grit almost like sand to it but it works great.  UM MOM Susan

I like Gly-Oxide for everything. Its around $5 for a very long-lasting
bottle ..... A couple of drops on your tongue and then you suds-it-up
to a mouthful of foam........

Gly-Oxide.

Now let me get this straight; you are disclaiming your disclaimer?

While you are talking to your dentist, why not book an appointment to get your
dentures adjusted so they don't make your mouth sore.

I plan on replacing both the upper denture and getting new bottoms ( I have
only 6 teeth left due to absorptions issues) but I have another surgery that
I have to schedule and every time I have surgery, this will be my third one
since 2001, I end up having to have the teeth I have tended to and also have
lost one each time by removal.  I don't know why this happens but my
thoughts are bleeding and not being able to eat and so forth.  I have
crohn's disease if that helps you understand.  I should have done this after
my surgery a year ago but put it off as I was on dr strike!   UM MOM Susan
